About Hong Kong Salsa Festival
ong Kong Salsa Festival is an international festival celebrating Salsa music and dance, in which the best of Asia and local talents are showcased alongside top artists from around the world.
The greatest personalities in the Asia salsa scene and top dancers from around the world will be in attendance as we hold one week of Salsa festivities which include club nights, street parties, workshops, dance competition, performances and parties galore from MONDAY 18 – SUNDAY 24 FEBRUARY 2013 with the main events of Workshops, Performances, World Salsa Championship and Grand Social dancing parties all happening at the award winning HK Convention & Exhibition Centre from THURSDAY 21 – SUNDAY 24 FEBRUARY 2013.

SALSA DANCE
alsa is a style of dance with its roots in the Caribbean islands of Cuba and Puerto Rico. It has become one of the most popular dances on every continent and has developed into an international phenomenon which is taking the world by storm!
Salsa dancing has become more than a casual pass time for many; it is a passionate lifestyle and danced all over the world by millions of people!
WORLD SALSA CHAMPIONSHIPS
or the 2nd time, Hong Kong will be host to the WORLD SALSA CHAMPIONSHIPS (HK). With a quarter of a million HK Dollars to be won and the title World Champions – in 4 categories of Professional, Amateur, Team and Bachata – the stakes are as high as it gets.
ASIA BRAZIL CARNIVAL
Lovers of Zouk, Lambada and Brazillian music will be delighted to know that we will have dedicated rooms for all things Zouk, Samba and Brazilian as the 1st Asia Zouk Festival also comes to town. Some fabulous international artists from this genre will be in Hong Kong for the very first time enjoying the experience with Zouk lovers from near and far.
